Am primit paletuța Aura într-un cadou de Crăciun, fiindcă de multe ori eram atrasă de ea în magazin, iar una dintre prietenele mele a observat. Mi-a adus aminte instant de paletuțele Wet 'n Wild, de cum sunt așezate fardurile în paletă. Ulterior mi-am dat seamă că acestea nu se aseamănă atât de mult cum mi-aș fi dorit. Produsele Aura se găsesc în România în lanțul de magazine Drogherie Markt (DM). O paletă precum cea căreia îi fac recenzie acum costă la preț întreg 30 lei. Se găsește în 6 combinații a câte 4 nuanțe fiecare. Cea pe care o dețin eu, este numărul 204.

I got the Aura palette in a Christmas gift from an observing friend who saw me staring at it in the shop. It instantly reminded me of the Wet 'n Wild palettes, of how the shades are placed inside. I was soon to discover it was very far from being similar to them. Aura Cosmetics can be found in Romania in Drogherie Markt beauty chain (I don't know where you can find them outside Ro). This palette costs almost the equivalent of $10. It is found in six color combinations of 4 shades each. The one I own is #204.

Ambalaj/Packaging:

Deși elegant, ambalajul de plastic al fardurilor este slab, cu o balama șubredă ce se desface ușor, și un „vizor” transparent pentru a vedea fardurile incluse. Ca accesorii are un burete aplicator, destul de aspru la atingere, plasat într-un compartiment prea mare pentru el. Pe spatele ambalajului este lipită o etichetă ce conține indicații și informații despre produs. Am încercat să urmez indicațiile pentru a realiza machiajul sugerat (vezi video mai jos).

Altough quite elegant looking, the plastic packaging is weak, with a loose hinge that breaks apart way too easy and a transparent "visor" to allow you to see the shades in the palette. As accessories it has an applicator sponge that is quite abrasive to the touch and stored in a compartment that is too big for it. On the back, the palette has a sticker that contains guidlines and information about the product. I tried to follow the instructions offered to do the smokey look that was indicated (see video below).

Produs/ Product:

Fiecare pastilă de fard conține câte un gram de produs, iar calitatea acestora lasă de dorit. Deşi la o primă vedere fardurile par pigmentate, acestea se dovedesc a fi prăfoase şi slab rezistente, cu excepţia albastrului care deşi prăfos se aplică foarte pigmentat. Din păcate însă nici primerul Sephora Glitterguard nu a reuşit să îi menţină intensitatea pe parcursul zilei, chiar dacă l-a ţinut la locul lui. Mai jos aveți și swatch-uri ale celor patru farduri, fără primer sub, pentru a vedea intensitatea fiecăruia.

Each eyeshadow pan contains 1 gram of product. They lack in quality however. Although at a fist sight they seem to be pigmented, these turn out to be dusty and weak when it comes to their lasting power, with the exception of the blue which goes on with a lot of pigmentation in the begining. Sadly it fades away throughout the day even with a primer. Below you can see swatches of the four shades, with no primer underneath, so you can clearly notice each shadow's pigmentation.

Concluzii/Conclusions

Așadar, după cum menționez și în video-ul de mai sus, consider că paletuțele Aura nu merită cumpărate, oferind prea puțin pentru cei 30 lei pe care i-ați plăti. Cele șase variații au nuanțe frumoase, iar dacă ar îmbunătăți formula și textura fardurilor, probabil și-ar merita bănuții. În condițiile actuale însă prefer să mai adaug vreo 15 lei și să cumpăr o paletă Sleek cu 12 farduri. Voi ce părere aveți de paletuța asta? Dețineți cosmetice Aura?

As I mentioned in the video above, I do not think the Aura Cosmetics eyeshadow palettes are worth their money, because they offer too little for their value. The six variations are interesting and if they would improve the texture and formula of the eyeshadows they would probably be worth it. This way however, I would rather add just a few more cash and buy myself a nice 12 shades Sleek palette instead. What do you think about this palette? Do you own any Aura products?

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation (130 Shell Cocquillage);

Am cumpărat acest fond de ten pe ultima sută de metri, din păcate, profitând de reducerile de plecare ale Revlon de pe piața românească. Din păcate, pentru că îmi place și l-aș fi recumpărat. Are și părți rele, cum ar fi faptul că nu are pompiță. dar produsul în sine este unul perfect pentru mine. Deși nu știu cât de mult mai ajută, voi scrie un review pentru el în curând.

I bought this foundation taking advantage of the last Revlon sales here, as they are retiring from the Romanian market. Unfortunately, I like it and I would have repurchased it if they stayed. It also has bad parts, like the fact that it doesn't have a pump but the product itself is a perfect match for me. I will write a review on this soon.

Avon SuperSHOCK gel eyeliner pencil;

O iubire mai veche de-a mea, creionul SuperSHOCK de la Avon intrat un pic în pauză, cât timp am iubit L'Oreal Silkissime! Văzând însă că Silkissime se apropie de sfârșit, evaluam în gând pe care să-l recumpăr. Într-o altă zi, mi s-a terminat gelul de duș, și cum la gel de duș am ~~prea multe~~ reyerve, mi-am băgat repede nasul în cutia mea cu produse de rezervă, unde am dat întâmplător şi de un Supershock! Cine ştia că eu mi-am cumpărat rezerve mai demult? Eu una nu îmi aminteam dar m-am bucurat așa de mult să îl găsesc încât am lăsat Silkissime să se odihnească puțin.

An old love of mine, this eyeliner by Avon went on a little hiatus, while I was loving L'Oreal's Silkissime. However, I had reached a point where my Silkissime was almost done, and I was entertaining the thought of which eyeliner to buy next of the two. In a different day, I ran out of shower gel, and since I have ~~too many~~ backups there, I quickly opened my "back up box" and discovered a SuperSHOCK eyeliner. Who knew I bought backups for it? I did not remember that, but I did enjoy seeing it, so much that I let Silkissime take a rest and started using it this one!

MeMeMe Arch Angel - highlighter;

De Arch Angel v-am mai povestit aici. V-am spus și atunci că pur și simplu ador partea cu iluminatorul. Nu știu ce aș putea să vă spun să nu credeți că-s nebună când spun că-s înnebunită după el.

I've talked about the Arch Angel before, here. I told you then how much I simply adore the highlighter end. I have no idea what to tell you so you don't think I'm crazy when I say I'm crazy for it!

Farmasi Matte lipstick (45);

Oh Doamne, de când așteptam să vină toamna, să pot purta frumuseți de-astea! Iubesc rujul puternic pe buze (contrastant cu acum câțiva ani când nu îndrăzneam să-l port!) Asta e cea mai recentă achiziție în materie de ruj și Doamne, cât îmi place!

Oh God, how I've waited for Autumn to arrive so that I could wear beauties like this! I love bold lipsticks (contrary to a few years ago when I wouldn't dare wear it!) This is my most recent purchase regarding lips and God, do I love it!

L'Oreal NutriGold Silk Face Moisturizer;

Am primit crema asta în octombrie anul trecut, și-am tot lăsat-o la rezerve. Nu știu de ce. Acum, fiindcă nu mai am altă rezervă, am luat-o. Și nu-mi pare rău că am lăsat-o până acum! Acum aveam nevoie de ea, pentru că tenul meu a trecut printr-o serie de schimbări datorită mutării mele în Spania și înapoi. Acum îmi ajută tenul să revină la normal, să redevină ce a fost înainte. Și asta îmi place! Are textură cremoasă, intră rapid în piele și hrănește pielea foarte bine. E tot ce îmi trebuie în momentul de față.

I got this moisturizer last October and I kept it unopened in "backups". I don't know why. Now, because it's the last backup I have, I reached for it. And I am not sorry I left it until now. I need it now, as my skin recently had a lot to suffer from my move to Spain and back. Now it helps my skin go back to its normal self. And I like that! It has a creamy texture, it absorbs quickly and it nourishes my skin well. It is all I need right now.

De când mă ştiu, n-am dat prea multă importanţă fardurilor Clinique, în mintea mea crezând că ei sunt renumiţi doar pentru produsele de îngrijire a pielii. Roata s-a întors şi-acum am avut ocazia să-mi pice în mână o paletuţă numa' bună pentru călătorit, de la Clinique. Cosme-de.com vinde această paletă la preţul de $51 (~ 170 lei) însă poate fi găsită, din câte am înţeles, şi în aeroporturi sau pe Amazon. Paleta este diponibilă într-o singură formă (nu dispune de varietate).

Ever since I can remember I didn't pay much attention to the Clinique eye shadows. In my mind they were only famous for their skincare products. But now I've had the chance to use and test a palette meant for traveling, by Clinique. Cosme-de.com sells this palette for $51. The palette is only available in one combination of colors (so it doesn't have a variety of combinations to choose from).

Din punct de vedere al ambajalului, paleta este excelentă. Fardurile sunt ambalate în plastic tare, durabil şi paleta are un sistem de închidere cu "click" ca majoritatea paletelor, şi este cu două niveluri. Partea de jos este defapt un sertar şi se deschide ca atare, în timp ce partea de sus se deschide normal, prin ridicarea capacului. Totodată capacul are oglindă atât în interior cât şi pe exterior. Paleta are şi un sticker lipit pe spate, cu explicaţiile necesare (numele produselor ş.a.m.d.)

Regarding packaging, the palette is excelent. It is made of durable plastic and it has a "click" opening system, much like other palettes. It also has 2 levels. The bottom part is like a drawer and opens by sliding it, whereas the top part is opened by lifting the lid (with the click system). Also, the lid has mirrors both on the inside and on the outside. The palette also has a sticker on the back explaing the product names inside and so on.

Lipsticks:

Fac parte din colecţia Long Last Lipstick şi conţin 0,6 g produs fiecare. Nuanţele disponibile în paletă sunt cele vizibile şi în poza de mai sus (sticker-ul) dar le voi menţiona şi aici:
Are part of the Long Last Lipstick collection and contain 0.6 grams (.02 oz) of product each. The shades found in this palette are named in the picture above (the sticker) but also down below:

Toate cele 5 nuanţe de ruj rezistă pe buze între 6 şi 8 ore, fără reaplicare, cu condiţia să nu mănânci.

All 5 lipsticks stay on the lips for about 6 to 8 hours, without reapplying, provided you don't eat.

03 Creamy Nude

Este o nuanţă opacă, perfectă pentru momentele în care vrem ca accentul să fie pe ochi.
It is an opaque shade, perfect for the moments when you want the accent on the eyes.

FC Pink Peach

Este nuanţa cea mai sheer din cele 5. Perfectă pentru un "no makeup makeup look".

12 Blushing Nude

Varianta mai roz a lui Creamy nude, mergând pe aceleaşi principii - ochii evidenţiaţi.

97 Party Red

Nuanţa mea preferată ♥ Este un roşu perfect, din punctul meu de vedere, este semi-opac dar buildable. E perfect pentru zilele când nu ai chef de prea mult machiaj şi totuşi vrei să pari aranjată.

My favourite shade ♥ It is a perfect red in my books, it is semi-opaque but also buildable. It is the perfect lipcolor for those days when you don't have the mood to wear a lot of makeup but still you want to look all made up!

G7 Pinkberry

Numele nuanţei spune tot. Avem de-a face din nou cu un ruj semi-opac însă buildable.
The name of this shade says it all. We are dealing once again with a semi-opaque but buildable lipstick.

Iar pentru a aplica rujurile, în paletă găsiţi şi o pensulă retractabilă pentru buze.

And in order to apply the lipsticks, inside the palette you also find a retractable lip brush.

Eyeshadows:

Paleta se axează pe machiajele neutre, astfel că cele patru farduri de pleoape sunt defapt un quad în sine, şi anume Colour Surge Eye Shadow Quad în nuanţa 02 Spicy. Fiecare dintre cele 4 pastile, conţine 0,8 g de fard, în total rezultând în 3,2 g de fard. Calitativ vorbind, cele 4 nuanţe sunt cremoase, pigmentate şi îşi menţin intensitatea pe parcursul zilei. Paleta include şi un aplicator cu două capete.

The palette is axed on the neutral looks, so the four eye shadows in it are actually a quad on it's own, Colour Surge Eye Shadow Quad in 02 Spicy to be exact. Each of the four pans contain 0,8 grams of product, resulting in 3,2 grams (0,8 oz) of eyeshadow. Qualitatively, the 4 eye shadows are creamy (even though they are in powder form), pigmented and they mantain their intensity throughout the day. The palette also includes a double ended applicator.

Mascara:

Se spune că este una dintre cele mai bune mascara de la Clinique. High Impact Mascara se află în acest travel kit în varianta mini, nuanţa black. Mai exact, tubul conţine 4 g de rimel. Periuţa este una obişnuită, cu peri din plastic (NU cauciuc). Rezultatul pe care îl oferă, pe genele mele cel puţin, este acceptabil. Nu este cea mai bună mascara pe care am încercat-o, însă nici cea mai rea.

They say this is one of the best mascaras from Clinique. High Impact Mascara is in this travel kit in size mini, shade black. To be specific, the tube contains about 4 grams of product. The brush is regular, with plastic (NOT rubber) bristles. The result it has, on my lashes at least, is acceptable. This is not the best mascara for me, but it isn't the worst either.

Powder:

Ascunsă în sertarul de jos, lângă un aplicator din burete, pudra Superpowder Dowble Face Powder este găsită în paleta Clinique în nuanţa 02 Matte Beige şi conţine 3.5 g de produs. Când am primit-o, era puţin prea închisă pentru tenul meu alb, însă acum că oficial e vară, am început să o folosesc şi chiar face o treabă bună să îmi menţină pielea shine-free pentru o perioadă. Trebuie să mărturisesc că pielea mea este ciudată, tenul meu fiind uscat, în cea mai mare parte, însă vara se transformă în ten mixt, transformându-mă într-o ciudăţenie cu piele mega uscată la extremităţi (în special la maxilar) şi mega uleioasă în mijlocul feţei.
Hidden in the bottom drawer, next to a sponge applicator, the Superpowder Double Face Powder is found in the Clinique Palette in shade 02 Matte Beige and it contains 3.5 grams (.12 oz) of product. When I got this, it was a little too dark for my pale skin, but now that summer's officially in season, I've started using it and it actually does a good job at keeping my face shine-free for a little while. Now, my skin is weird, as it is actually dry, but tends to transform to combination skin in the summertime, thus turning me into a freak that has uber dull skin around the edges of my face (especially my jawline) and uber shiny in the middle of my face.

Blush:

Pentru ca nimic să nu rămână neacoperit, în All-in-one colour by Clinique Exclusive găsim şi un blush Soft-Pressed Powder Blush în nuanţa 20 Mocha Pink. Este nuanţa perfectă pentru a învălui obrajii într-un roz subtil. Conţine 2 grame de produs şi are alături o pensulă pentru aplicare.

Because nothing can be left out, All-in-one colour by Clinique Exclusive also includes a blush Soft-Pressed Powder Blush in shade 20 Mocha Pink. It is the perfect shade to flood your cheeks with a subtle pink. It contains 2 grams (.07 oz) of product and it comes with a little brush for easy application.

Aţi avut răbdare să citiţi până aici? Dacă nu, permiteţi-mi să vă rezum: All-in-one colour este o paletă cu tot ce ai putea avea nevoie (inclusiv ustensile) pentru un machiaj decent, atunci când ai spaţiu limitat în bagaj. Dispuneţi de o varietate de 5 nuanţe de ruj, aveţi 4 farduri de pleoape în culori neutre, un rimel, o pudră şi un blush.
