MUA Pro-Brow Ultimate eyebrow kit
Sprâncenele pot să scoată în evidență trăsăturile feței sau să le înăsprească, făcând fața să pară neingrijită. Îngrijirea și aranjarea sprâncenelor este așadar esențială. Mai ales când sprâncenele sunt ca ale mele, rare, subțiri și blonde. Eu încă nu am descoperit rețeta perfectă pentru sprâncenele mele, și asta se poate vedea și în pozele de pe blog: deși în realitate, sprâncele mele sunt ceva mai conturate, tot se vede ca-s rare. La asta încă lucrez. Dar până atunci, acum vă spun despre al 2lea kit de sprâncene pe care îl dețin.

Especially when your eyebrows are like mine: thin, rare and blonde. I have yet to discover the perfect trick for my brows, and you can figure that one out just by looking at my pictures on this blog: even though my eyebrows are a little more visibly filled in real life, you can still see they are sparse. That I need to work on. Till I figure that one out, I should tell you about the second brow kit I own.
Dacă nu v-ați dat seama încă este vorba despre kit-ul de sprâncene de la MUA (Make Up Academy) pe care l-am achiziționat cu ceva timp în urmă de pe site-ul MUA. Din câte știu dacă locuiți în Regatul Unit puteți găsi produsele MUA și în Superdrug, nu doar pe site-ul MUA. La preț este destul de moderată și costă aproximativ 16 lei (3,5 lire sterline). Mai trebuie să menționez că acest kit este disponibil în momentul de față într-o singură paletă de nuanțe, neavând varietate prea mare.
If you didn't realize it yet, I'm talking about the MUA (Make Up Academy) pro-brow kit which I bought a while back from the MUA site. As far as I know, if you live in the UK you can also find this brand in Superdrug stores. It has a fairly cheap price of 3,5 GBP. I must also mention that this kit is only available in one color palette, so there isn't much color variety.
Când vine vorba de ambalaj, acesta îmi place și nu-mi place. Cele 3 nuanțe de fard pulbere și ceara pentru sprâncene împreună cu accesoriile (o mini pensetă și o mini pensulă unghiulară cu 2 capete) sunt ambalate într-o carcasă neagră de plastic, care conține și o oglindă. Plasticul pare a fi același material precum ambaljul paletei MUA Undressed de care vă ziceam aici, însă întărit oarecum de oglinda lipită în interior. Că tot vorbim de oglindă, nu cred că este cea mai protejată, și nici fardurile, având în vedere sistemul de închidere cu magneți (slabi). La scuturarea ușoară a paletei magneții se separă, lăsând accesoriile să plonjeze în cădere liberă. Not nice! - Aș fi preferat un sistem cu blocator. Iar accesoriile...penseta e utilă dar pensulița e de cea mai proastă calitate și nu merită a fi folosită, din punctul meu de vedere. Vă recomand să investiți într-o pensulă pentru sprâncene.
When it comes to packaging, I love it and hate it at the same time. The 3 shades of powder, the eyebrow wax and the mini accessories (mini tweezers and a double ended mini angled brow brush) are encased in a black shiny plastic case which also contains a mirror. The plastic seems to be just like the one I described in my review for the Undressed palette, however it seems more durable, probably due to the glued mirror. And since we're talking, the mirror is not really protected, nor are the powders, given the fact that the case closes through (very weak) magnets. A light shake of the closed palette may release the magnets, making the mini accessories fall from the case, which makes me think about the damage this would receive in a shaky travel. Not nice! - I would've rather had a blocker system. And about the accessories...the mini tweezers are indeed useful but the mini brow brush is the worst quality ever and is not worth using, from my point of view. I would recommend you invest in a brow brush.
Cantitativ, produsul este unul destul de mare, având 5,9 g ( 1,47 g / nuanță). Calitativ, nu pot să zic că sunt foarte încântată de această trusă, însă cu siguranță este mai bună decât cea pe care o foloseam anterior. Fardurile sunt destul de slab pigmentate, motiv pentru care nu o recomand celor cu firul de păr închis la culoare. La capitolul rezistență însă adună puncte în plus față kit-ul de sprâncene pe care îl foloseam anterior, întrucât deși trebuie să insist ceva mai mult pentru un rezultat bun, odată aplicat fardul rămâne acolo până decid eu să-l sterg.
In quantity, the product is pretty generous, weighing 5,9 g (1,47 g/ pan). In quality, I can't say I am super thrilled of this kit, but it is surely better than my previous one. The shadows have more of a poor pigmentation so I wouldn't recommend this kit for those of you with darker hair. In the resistance departament is where it gains points to my previous kit. Even though I have to insist a little for the color to show up, once I set it, it stays on until I decide to remove it.

Ambalajul lasă de dorit din punct de vedere al siguranței, întrucât este „accesorizat” cu 2 magneți slabi. Prețul kit-ului e 3,5 lire sterline pe site-ul MUA sau în UK în magazinele Superdrug. Eu l-am numit kit-ul best of 2012, pentru faptul că este mai bun decât kit-ul de la Oriflame în unele aspecte.
In a nutshell, this kit is ok-ish for blondes and browns, the shadows have poor pigmentation, but they are buildable and they have a pretty good resistance on the brows. The packaging is not what I wanted, as the case closes with to poor magnets that get separated at a mild shake. You can buy this kit for 3,5 pounds on MUA site or Superdrug. I named it my best brow product in 2012 as it is better than the previous kit I used, which was the one from Oriflame, regarding some aspects.

Am avut dreptate când vorbeam despre fragilitatea ambalajului. A încercat mama să o deschidă la capătul greșit și fără să o forțeze prea tare a ieșit din „țâțâni”. Deși nu s-a rupt și a putut fi refăcut, ambalajul kitului clar nu e travel-friendly, decât învelit într-un prosop mega pufos. Altfel riscați ca până să ajungeți la destinație să vă treziți cu fardurile sfărmate și/sau cu oglinda spartă.
I was right when I talked about the fragility of this packaging. My mom tried to open this at the wrong end and withough applying too much force it popped off. Although I managed to put it back together, I realize this kit is clearly not travel-friendly, unless it's tucked inside a super fluffy towel. Otherwise you risk reaching your destination only to find broken eyeshadows and/or a broken mirror.

- The darker shade is a reddish brown with a hint of ash. I use it to give my eyebrows a little dimension.

- The light shade is more of a light ashy brown and I tend to use it to fill in my brows in the fist stage.

The swatches below were applied using a cotton swab to intensify the colors.
- A 3-a nuanță ar trebui să fie una pentru iluminat. Din păcate e mult prea închisă pentru a servi acel scop. Încă nu i-am găsit o întrebuințare.
- The third shade is supposed to be good for highlighting your brows. Unfortunately, I find it is way too dark to serve its purpose. I have yet to find something to use it for.
- Nu în ultimul rând kit-ul conține o ceară care ajută la fixarea sprâncenelor rebele. O folosesc din când în când, însă sprâncenele mele fiind destul de scurte, nu se prea „rebelează”
- Last but not least, the kit has a brow wax to help keep your brows in place. I use this from time to time, but since my brows are naturally short, they don't rebel much.
