Review: Inglot Brush Cleanser

Dacă aţi fost vreodată atente la ceea ce vă ziceam eu, atunci ştiţi că ador pensulele de machiaj şi că am mai mult decât suficiente. Când vine vorba de întreţinerea lor, un pas foarte important este curăţarea în profunzime a perilor cu un şampon şi apă călduţă. Eu recomand ca treaba asta să fie făcută cel puţin săptămânal (cu excepţia pensulei pentru fond de ten pe care o spăl după fiecare 1 sau 2 utilizări). Totuşi există momente în care fie nu dispunem de resursele necesare (s-a luat apa, s-a terminat şamponul etc.) sau de timpul necesar spălării şi uscării pensulelor (machiezi două persoane, una după cealaltă sau trebuie să foloseşti pensula respectivă şi nu ţi-ai dat seama înainte că trebuia să o speli). Pentru aceste momente există un produs care să ne ajute cât de cât, fără să necesite prea mult timp. După cum spuneam, brush cleanser-ul este o soluţie TEMPORARĂ şi NU înlocuieşte curăţarea periodică în profunzime (spălarea pensulelor). Brush cleanser-ul pe care îl folosesc eu este de la Inglot şi costă 29 lei. Din punctul meu de vedere este un preţ modic, chiar scăzut, având în vedere câteva aspecte pe care am să vi le expun mai jos.
If you read what I say about myself, you know that I loooove makeup brushes and that I have more than enough. When it comes to taking care of them, a crucial step is cleaning them properly with shampoo and warm water. I recommend that you do that at least once a week (with the exception of the foundation brush that I was after every one or two uses). And yet, there are moments when you either don't have the resources to wash them (there's no water, there's no shampoo left, etc.) or you don't have the time to do that (you're doing makeup on more than one person one after the other or you just realized you need to use that brush but used it on a different colour minutes ago). For those circumstances there's a product which helps, without requiring a lot of time. The brush cleanser is a TEMPORARY solution and it does NOT replace the periodical deep cleaning (washing) of the brushes. The brush cleanser I am using is by Inglot and it costs 29 lei (~$8.5). I think the price is really good, taking into consideration a few reasons I will point out below. 






Produsul vine ambalat într-un flacon transparent de plastic cu pulverizator şi un capac protector pentru a nu fi irosit. Sticluţa din plastic tare este suficient de zdravănă încât să nu se strice la prima căzătură. Pe flacon sunt scrise informaţii despre ingrediente, termenul de valabilitate, cantitate şi brand.
The product is contained in a transparent plastic spray bottle which also comes with a protective cap. The bottle itself is strong enough so that it doesn't crack at the first drop. On the bottle is printed information about ingredients, validity quantity and brand. 






Produsul este folosit, aşa cum spuneam în introducere, pentru curăţarea şi dezinfectarea pensulelor de machiaj între două folosiri. În scopul unei demonstraţii am creat un videoclip în care vă arăt cât de bine este curăţată o pensulă cu peri albi (pensula în cauză e Sigma E25 travel size).
The product is used, as I was saying in the intro, to clean and disinfect the makeup brushes between two uses. For demonstrative purposes I created a video where I show you just how well a white bristle brush is cleaned ( the brush is the Sigma E25 travel size). 
După cum puteţi vedea, deşi pensula a rămas puţin pătată de fard (problemă minoră, care se rezolvă la spălarea pensulei cu şampon), pe şerveţel nu rămâne niciun reziduu de la fardul folosit. Totodată, pensula este complet uscată, lucru ce permite folosirea acesteia imediat după curăţare.
As you can see, even though the brush is a little stained (minor issue that is easily solved by washing the brush thoroughly with shampoo), the paper towel stays clean, which means there's no eye shadow residue left. Also, the brush is completely dry and can be used again immediately. 

Cantitativ, vorbim de 150 ml de lichid transparent. Din punctul meu de vedere această cantitate este suficientă pentru o perioadă bună de timp (excepţia se aplică makeup artiştilor care au mai multe cliente pe zi, mai multe zile pe săptămână - în acest caz aş spune că este suficient pentru 3-4 luni).
Quantitatively, we are talking about 150 ml (5.1 fl. oz.) of transparent liquid. From my point of view, this amount is sufficient for a good period of time (unless you're a makeup artist doing several makeup looks per day, several days a week - in that case I'd say it would last you about 3-4 months).





Pe scurt, acest produs este o soluţie temporară pentr curăţarea şi dezinfectarea pensulelor pentru machiaj şi nu pot să evidenţiez asta suficient: ACEST PRODUS NU ÎNLOCUIEŞTE SPĂLAREA PERIODICĂ a pensulelor. În videoclipul de mai sus, puteţi vedea cum folosesc eu acest produs si ce efecte are pe pensule. Costă 29 lei şi îl găsiţi în magazinele Inglot (Maritimo-Constanţa). Eu folosesc acest brush cleanser când fac machiaje pe alte persoane sau când călătoresc şi nu am timp sau spaţiu pentru a-mi spăla pensulele.

All in all, this product is a temporary solution for cleaning your makeup brushes, and I cannot stress this enough: IT DOES NOT REPLACE PERIODICAL WASHING of the brushes. In the video above you see how to use this product and what effects it has on the brushes. It costs about $8 and it can be found in the Inglot shops. I personally use it when I do makeup on other people and need to clean my brushes quickly, or when I travel and don't have the time or space to wash them properly.
